Prior to having children and later joining I CAN, I was publishing and developing my career as a visual artist. One of my personal highlights was being invited to attend the ceremony where local artist, the late Tate Adams AM, was named a Member of the Order of Australia, presented by the Governor of Qld at the time, Her Excellency, Penelope Wensley. During this time I also achieved two awards at the Swell Sculpture Festival: an artist award and the people’s choice award.

 

Over the last 6 years, I have turned my passionate focus from visual arts to neurodiversity. My three children are neurodivergent as am I, which I only found out 6yrs ago. My other interests include; Philosophy, history, sociology, theology, astrophysics, and I love travelling. I also love playing any kind of game, from table-tennis, volleyball and soccer, to card games, board games, jigsaws, puzzles… and escape rooms!
