HOW TO ACCESS I CAN PROGRAMS

We are very proud to be a national leader in providing Autistic-led mentoring (school-based and online) to Autistic young people in Australia, providing meaningful insights through our speakers and Autistic-informed professional development workshops. Here is a brief overview of our cornerstone programs and how families and schools can access them.

WEBINAR – I CAN CEO/Founder Chris Varney and three I CAN Mentors; Sam Rose, Caitlin Downie Kempson & James Cifuentes – provide details about four key Autistic-led services which we provide and how families and schools can access these programs in Australia.

NAVIGATING HIGH SCHOOL #1: TIPS FOR PARENTS AND CARERS OF AUTISTIC STUDENTS

Starting high school and navigating that journey is a major milestone which can be challenging for both the Autistic student and their family.  The below tips (not exhaustive) reflect input from a team of Autistic young adults, along with Autistic and non-Autistic parents and teachers of Autistic high school students.

LGBTIQA+ & AUTISTIC TIPS FROM YOUNG ADULTS  

It is not uncommon for Autistics to also identify as LGBTIQA+. Young adult members of our I CAN team who have this lived experience offer their support and resources for young people who are forming their own identities and advice for the adults in their lives.
