About You:
- Qualifications and Experience: Possess tertiary qualifications in Human Resources and a minimum of 5 years of HR Management experience. Additionally, experience in a recruitment agency setting is highly regarded and will be considered favourably.

About the Role:
As the People & Culture Manager, you will report to the CEO and work closely with the Deputy CEO who will be responsible for the HR function on days where the P&C Manager is unavailable. You will provide essential support to people leaders, ensuring compliance with the SCHADS Award. Your role includes:
- SCHADS Expertise: Maintaining a deep understanding of the SCHADS Award.
- HR Support: Offering employee relations, industrial relations, and generalist HR advice.
- Talent Management: Overseeing recruitment, induction, and training processes
- Business Support: Providing HR and OHS-related support services.
- Framework Implementation: Ensuring managers can effectively implement I CAN Network’s frameworks.
- Strategic HR: Advising the Senior Management Team on legislative compliance and supporting people strategies.
- Working Provisions: Applicants must have the ability to work from home (laptop provided) and be able to apply and provide a clear Working with Children Check (Employee).

We have an exciting opportunity for people to join our Greater Melbourne team in the role of Mentor to deliver our I CAN School® Mentoring Program to primary and secondary students.
Our Mentors:
- Are Autistic themselves OR passionate about using your life experiences with young people to change the narrative from I CAN’T to I CAN for Autistic children and teens
- Love to go into primary and secondary schools and get paid to have discussions, do fun activities and play games with Autistic students, that empower them with optimism, belonging, self-acceptance, pride and confidence.
- Are happy to jump in their car, put on your favorite song or enjoy the quiet time while driving to and from schools (Driver’s License and own transport strongly preferred)
- Work in an environment with a 50% difference, meaning a minimum of half of our staff are Autistic.

NORTHERN VICTORIA
PROGRAM FACILITATORS – NORTHERN VICTORIA
Program Facilitators are responsible for the delivery of weekly group mentoring sessions for a select group of young Autistic students on-site at schools or in the community. Reporting to an I CAN Regional Manager, the Program Facilitator will work with and coach the Mentor they have been assigned, customise the session content to their mentees, and support the relationships and expectations of stakeholders. I CAN Program Facilitators are people with an ‘I CAN’ attitude and a connection/ passion for the strengths of Autistic/ neurodivergent people. These are paid/casual positions.
Successful applicants will be able to relate to the experiences of young Autistic individuals and have previous experience with group facilitation. The commitment would involve a fixed number of hours per mentoring session, and a driver’s license and own transport is strongly preferred.
Note: While we are currently recruiting for people who will be working in our School Mentoring Programs, there may also be an opportunity for you to work in our National Online Mentoring program subject to availability.

MENTORS – northern victoria
I CAN Mentors support the delivery of mentoring programs for a select group of young Autistic individuals both in a school, community setting or online. This involves mentoring Autistic young people and planning/running activities during group mentoring sessions with the support of a Program Facilitator. These are paid/casual positions.
Reporting to a line manager, Mentors support the delivery of mentoring programs for a select group of young Autistic individuals both in a school or community setting or online. This involves mentoring Autistic young people and planning/running activities during group mentoring sessions with the support of a Program Facilitator.
Depending on availability, the successful candidate will work in our School Mentoring Program (sessions run at schools or in the community throughout the day) and/ or in our National Online Program (sessions run online during the afternoon or evening).
To work in our School Mentoring Programs a Driver’s License and own transport is strongly preferred. Successful candidates may be offered work across both the School Mentoring and National Online Programs.
The commitment involves a fixed number of hours per mentoring session and sessions are run weekly.

What is the time commitment involved in being a mentor?
The commitment of school-based mentors involves a fixed number of hours per mentoring session and availability during school hours for our I CAN School® programs.
The commitment of online group mentors also involves a fixed number of hours per mentoring session and availability on certain weekday evenings. We provide training and ongoing professional development for all team members.
