I CAN® Online Cycles
I CAN’s Online Cycles are interest-based group mentoring programs for autistic young people aged 7 – 22. Think of a Cycle as an extracurricular afternoon activity that aligns with a chosen interest and meets on Zoom – same day, same time, same mentors, for six weekly 60-minute sessions. Guided by trained autistic mentors, participants explore a shared special interest, connect with each other, and grow their confidence in a place where they never have to mask or apologise for being themselves.
Cycles give families the structure many autistic kids and teens love with five intakes per year (roughly one each school term), a consistent 5:00 – 6:00 PM or 6:30 – 7:30 PM AEST/AEDT time-slot, and the same welcoming faces each week. If an Australian public holiday falls during the schedule, we simply extend the cycle so you still receive all six sessions.
What does your child get from a cycle?
Belonging: “That after-school activity my child belonged in.”
No pressure to mask: On good days or tough days, they can turn up exactly as they are.
Home-based convenience: A screen-based, structured social outlet that fits neatly into your evening routine.
Strength-focused mentoring: Autistic role-models who understand and celebrate each participant’s unique interests.
Because our Cycle programs are an online mentoring service and not an allied-health or therapy service, invoices are issued at the conclusion of each Cycle and reference the relevant NDIS support item number (for more information, see Key Details). Payment is due within 14 days and gap fees may apply if NDIA funding does not cover the full amount. We cannot modify invoices or split payments, and invoices will be sent directly to nominated plan managers if these details are provided in the service agreement. Please speak with your plan manager or support coordinator for personalised NDIS advice.
Five cycles a year, six engaging sessions per cycle, and a community that “just gets it”. Everything an autistic young person needs to thrive in a safe, interest-powered space.
