I CAN Network Ltd and Social Ventures Australia have developed a plan to scale I CAN Online—our national, autistic‑led group mentoring program for 7–22‑year‑olds—so every autistic young person in Australia can access connection and confidence.
About the plan
I CAN® and Social Ventures Australia recently worked together to develop a plan for the expansion of I CAN Online.
I CAN Online is I CAN’s national online group mentoring program for 7–22‑year‑old autistic young people which provides participants with peer support, social connection and belonging.
After three independent evaluations we feel the evidence base and reach of this program is ready for further scaling nationally.
All autistic young people have I CAN® available to them, for their connection and confidence.
We project that I CAN Online can play a powerful role in facilitating social connection for Australia’s autistic young people, many of whom are vulnerable to mental ill‑health (see National Roadmap to Improve the Health and Mental Health of Autistic People 2025–2035, p.13).
